G.I.A. (Gestural Interactive Automaton) is my recent robotic sculpture. It uses open source tracking software to interact with its viewers and environment. G.I.A. Is a robotic life form that strives to emulate and socially engage its viewers in hopes to become understood and accepted. I am interested in the relational bridge we create between man and machine, physically and emotionally. G.I.A. Is a study in our interactions with A.I. (Artificial Intelligence ) in correlation to robotics.
